For their new show there are 2 new band members in the guise of Jeff Judge on sax, and Kirsten Sayers on clarinet. Effervescent Shelley MacLean will be the featured vocalist again. The rest of the band is unchanged led by Cathy “Hotlips” Peacock on trumpet, “Dunc the hunk” Wooldridge on trombone, Andreas “Bullfiddle” Kappen on double bass, the one and only Melvin Peters on piano, and “bashful” Bruce Baker on drums.
The show will feature hits by Duke Ellington, Rosemary Clooney and Ella Fitzgerald such as “Fever”, “Hey Mambo”, “Blue Moon“, “Embraceable You and “A nightingale sang in Berkley square”. The band will pay tribute to great big bands of that time and will include “Sing sing sing”, ‘”Caravan” , “How high the Moon” and a tribute to Glenn Miller. Other fab swing tunes include “I’ve got you under my skin”, “Fly me to the moon” and Shelly’s smoky version of “Georgia on my mind”. [GARD align=”center”]
