Cat Simoni will appear in “Jazzin’ Around” to raise funds for the SA Guide-Dogs Association.

The fabulous South African singer/entertainer/pianist Cat Simoni will be teaming up with some of South Africa’s most outstanding jazz musicians on Women’s Day. The shows will raise much needed funds for the S A Guide-Dogs Association. Cat will be accompanied by American pianist John Fresk, Graeme Currie on the double bass and Anthony Yoko on drums. It will be a programme filled with Cat’s unique renditions of jazz standards and popular musicals.

For years, Cat Simoni was the resident lounge singer in some of London’s posh hotels like The Ritz, Dorchester and Mayfair where she met many illustrious characters and celebrated personalities in the world of entertainment. Because of her outstanding voice and terrific vocal range she has garnered the title of “the girl with the golden voice”. All this talent coupled with stories of her encounters with the rich and famous makes for an interesting show with a difference!

All proceeds will go toward providing visually or physically impaired people with the gift of independence, mobility and companionship. S A Guide-Dogs Association for the Blind receives no government funding and relies solely on the goodwill of its supporters and initiatives like these, to raise much-needed funds.
