On Friday, 24 July 2015, the three soloists from Gauteng Opera will present a beautiful lunch hour opera concert at the Sandton Theatre on the Square.

The Auto & General Theatre on the Square in Sandton is delighted to present and produce, for the 8th year, its uplifting music programme for all. It prides itself on being the only venue in Gauteng to host such regular weekly daytime concerts. Concerts take place every Friday at 13:00 (1 pm) and unreserved tickets are available at the theatre from 12:30 on the day. Tickets of R40 per person include a cup of coffee and biscuits.

On Friday, 24 July 2015, the three soloists from Gauteng Opera will present a beautiful opera programme. Khumbuzile Dhlamini (soprano), Phenye Modiane (tenor) and Kagiso Boroko (tenor) will be accompanied by well-known composer and accompanist, Denzil Weale. Forté will present a beautiful programme of opera arias such as Vainement, ma bien-amée from Le Roi d’Ys, Questa o quella from Rigoletto, Parigi o cara from La Traviata, O mio babbino caro from Gianni Schicchi and not forgetting the all times favourite Neapolitan songs such as Non ti scordar di me, Mattinata and Torna a Surriento. The audience members will also be entertained with a sneak preview of the music of Gauteng Opera’s up-and-coming Cula Mzansi, the opera season with the three short South African operas.
